thumbnail Hello,

The Partenopei defender, who is looking forward to the new season after overcoming his injury problems, does not believe that his compatriot is going anywhere

Miguel Britos is confident that fellow Uruguayan Edinson Cavani will still be a Napoli player next season.

The defender's compatriot has been heavily linked with a move away from the San Paolo, with Juventus said to be particularly keen on the forward.

However, Britos is in no doubt that there will still be three Uruguayans at Napoli come the end of the summer transfer window.

"I am sure that Cavani and [Walter] Gargano will remain with us," the former Bologna man told Radio Marte. "As for [Ezequiel] Lavezzi, I'm so disappointed."

Britos made the move from the Dall'Ara to the Coppa Italia winners last summer but his debut campaign with the Partenopei was blighted by injuries and he is determined to make up for lost time.

"A bad season has just passed," the 26-year-old admitted. "I suffered a lot and I could not give my best.

"But I can assure the fans that it will be a different story in 2012-13 and they will see the real Miguel Britos."

Britos joined Napoli from Bologna for an undisclosed fee and penned a five-year contract with Walter Mazzarri's side.
