Isla undergoes Juventus medical
The versatile Chile international is edging closer to a move to the Serie A champions as the Old Lady have confirmed he's currently undergoing physical tests in Turin
Juventus have announced that Udinese wing-back Mauricio Isla is currently undergoing a medical at the Serie A champions ahead of a proposed summer transfer.Juventus have long been linked with a move for the Chile international, who had also caught the attention of Inter, and they are now on the verge of signing the 24-year-old.
"Mauricio Isla has touched down in Turin for a medical ahead of a prospective move to Juventus," a statement on the official Juve website reads.
"The 24-year-old Chilean underwent a series of tests at the city’s Clinica Fornaca di Sessant this morning. He will then be assessed at the Istituto di Medicina dello Sport."
Isla joined Udinese from Universidad Catolica in the summer of 2007, and had since developed into a key player at the Zebrette.
Juventus already revealed on Thursday that Isla's fellow Udinese player Kwadwo Asamoah is undergoing physical tests at the Italian giants, too, and the duo are expected to sign long-term deals upon completion of their medicals later on Friday.
