Gattuso gives up on Rangers 'dream' return, says agent

The midfielder's chances of moving back to the Scottish side are allegedly very slim, but his representative has intimated that there are many clubs after his client
The return of AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso to Rangers in the summer is highly unlikely, the player's agent has said.

The 34-year-old is currently on the lookout for a new club after revealing that his expiring contract with the Rossoneri will not be renewed.

Gattuso had stated that a return to Rangers, where he played in the 1997-98 season, was his priority, but the midfielder's agent has apparently ruled out that scenario because of the transfer embargo imposed on the Scottish club.

"He has told me to take note of all the interested clubs and we will talk more about this next week," Andrea D’Amico told Sky Sport Italia.

"There are many clubs all around the world who are asking for information.

"Rangers? It will be very difficult because they cannot sign new players older than 18 for a year."
