The Romanian defender has an expiring contract with the Nerazzurri, but is keen to stay at the Giuseppe Meazza beyond the expiry date of his current dealThe agent of Inter defender Cristian Chivu has stressed that his client will talk to the San Siro outfit first before listening to offers from other clubs.
The 31-year-old's current contract runs out at the end of the 2011-12 campaign, and Chivu has yet to make a final decision about his future.
Nevertheless, staying at Inter appears to remain the former Romania captain's preferred option.
"We have not yet spoken to anyone. The situation has not changed recently," agent Joan Becali said to Il Sussidiario.
"I don't know when we will talk with Inter, but we will listen to them first, before possibly talking with other teams."
Chivu joined Inter from Roma in the summer of 2007 and has since made over 100 Serie A appearances for the Nerazzurri.
