The Colombian defender has lent his support to the under-fire coach and urged the team to get back to winning ways in order to salvage the season

Inter defender Ivan Cordoba has leapt to the defence of Claudio Ranieri, insisting that the beleaguered coach has the backing of the entire squad.

The 60-year-old's job is believed to be under threat after a six-game winless run in Serie A has left the Nerazzurri languishing in seventh spot, nine points off the Champions League qualification places.

"This is a difficult moment, but we must be united and do our talking on the field," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We are all with the coach, we are working with him to improve our situation.

"We want to win again, and do it in a way to revive our season to finish the campaign in a completely different way."

Inter president Massimo Moratti seemingly gave Ranieri a vote of confidence on Tuesday, saying he had 'cleared things up' with the coach.

However, fresh speculation suggests that the Inter chief is on the lookout for a new coach already, with Chelsea's Andre Villas-Boas reportedly at the top of his list.
