Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone: I'll coach Lazio one day
The former Biancocelesti midfielder only took charge of the Rojiblancos over the winter break but he has reiterated that he will return to the Stadio Olimpico in the future

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has declared that he will return to Rome one day to take charge of Lazio.
The former Biancocelesti midfielder only took charge of the Rojiblancos over the winter break but he is in no doubt that he will return to the Stadio Olimpico at some point in the future.
"It's just a matter of time," Simeone told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Today I am happy in Madrid. I wanted to come here and I hope stay on as long as possible.
"But I know that sooner or later the opportunity to coach Lazio will come for me."
Indeed, while Simeone admitted that he would also be open to coaching another of his former sides, Inter, he believes that he is more likely to end up back in Rome.
"They [Inter and Lazio] are two different situations; two different jobs," the Argentine mused.
"[But it's] clear that I could train Inter. Everywhere I played I left doors open because I always conducted myself well."
Atletico are undefeated since Simeone arrived at the Vicente Calderon in late December and have yet to concede a single goal in five games under his leadership.
