Rubin Kazan Created Difficulties For Us - Inter Defender Maicon
The defender says the team had to work together to get a result, as well as discussing the Mario Balotelli sending off..
The home team went ahead in the 11th minute, but the Italian giants were able to equalise in the 27th minute with a goal from Dejan Stankovic.
Striker Mario Balotelli was sent off on the hour with a second bookable offence, and Maicon said that this made his team "ground their teeth until the end."
"It was a match which created a few difficulties," the defender said to Rai Sport. "In particular because we played a team with many offensive options who require attention."
"We were able to score against them, and after the Balotelli sending off, we ground our teeth until the end.
"The draw is an important result for us considering how things are at the moment."
Maicon also commented on Balotelli, saying that what the attacker did was unacceptable, and he will grow as a person and player from this incident.
"I don't know what happened," the Brazilian said.
"Mario has to understand that he cannot get things wrong like he did today.
"He still has lots to learn, but what happened today will serve in helping him grow," Maicon concluded.
