Zarate In Madrid To Forget Derby Disappointment
Lazio striker Mauro Zarate took a quick trip to Madrid in order to get past the disappointment of losing last weekend's derby to AS Roma...
Lazio were the unlucky side in the Rome derby, falling 1-0 to the Giallorossi, courtesy of Julio Baptista's second-half header.
Lazio striker Mauro Zarate was clearly disappointed at losing his first derby della capitale. According to Calciomercato, the player on-loan from Al-Sadd left the Stadio Olimpico immediately after the match in a bitter mood.
In order to raise his spirits the striker has taken a quick trip to Madrid, hoping to earn some rest and relaxation ahead of the match with Genoa on Sunday.
The player is expected to be back in the Italian capital on Wednesday morning and there are now speculation that he could prolong his spell with the Biancocelesti.
It has been reported by Lazio president Claudio Lotito that the club are very close to finalizing a permanent transfer for the former Birmingham City striker, as they are extremely pleased with his impressive form this season. The Argentine has already notched up seven goals in Serie A so far this term.
