The Old Lady have been eyeing the creative midfielder, and he is said to be on their transfer hit list.

It seems as if the Italians will have no trouble once they decide to make a move as the player himself revealed that he is honoured a club like the Bianconeri are after him.

Juve are keen on strengthening this January and Rakitic could arrive at the Olimpico.

"My dreams as a young player were to play in Italy, Spain or England," Rakitic told Tuttosport.

"It's still the same today however moving doesn't depend only on me.

"Knowing a big club like Juventus are after me gives me further motivation to do well and I am proud.

"I'll be Juve's new Zidane.

"When I was young I usued to love Robert Prosinecki but then I started to like Zinedine Zidane. He was fantastic.

"However, I also like [Alessandro] Del Piero and Kaka."

The Bianconeri are after some creative talent in the middle and, with both the Champions League and Scudetto in mind, the Vinovo club are likely to bring in further reinforcements.

Rakitic is regarded highly around Europe and Barcelona are also believed to be interested.

Juve will have to move fast if they are to land him.
