Own Goal To Cost Cicinho's Roma Career?

Roma defender Cicinho may pay the ultimate price for the own goal he scored against Bologna last week as Tuttomercatoweb.com claims he will be off-loaded in January...

A number of changes are expected at Roma in January, and the Brazilian stopper Cicinho may be the first to head through the exit door at Trigoria.

The player has not managed to hold down a regular place in Luciano Spalletti's starting XI and he is facing the chop.

Tuttomercatoweb.com claims the former Real Madrid man will be moving elsewhere during the January transfer window.

A move back to his native Brazil seems on the cards as Cicinho wants to improve his chances with the national team; the only way he will be able to do that is by getting regular football under his belt.

The own goal he scored against Bologna has also highlighted a further problem for the club, with reports suggesting I Lupi are keen on shipping him out.

Even more sensational is the speculation regarding a return to the Italian capital for former Lazio man Valon Behrami.

The right-back is currently at West Ham but it was he who scored the goal which won the derby of Rome for his old side last year.

Any such move is likely to further infuriate the Giallorossi fans.
