The 28-year-old was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher on 36 minutes and in the wake of the game, coach Luis Garcia confirmed the unusual injury.
"Alexis has a testicle like this," he told reporters while gesturing the size of a handball with his hands.
"Some veins were broken. It's nothing serious. When I entered the changing room, I was scared, but it's not serious.
"I've never seen anything like it."
Alexis is now a doubt for Getafe's upcoming Liga clash against Real Sociedad on home soil on Sunday, which kicks off at 12:00CET.
