Casillas wanted to kill me, jokes Ramos

The 27-year-old has made light of the fact his collision with his compatriot forced the goalkeeper off the field some 14 minutes into his return to the first team
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has joked that Iker Casillas wanted to kill him after he injured the goalkeeper in the 6-1 victory over Galatasaray on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old was handed a first start in a competitive fixture since January for the Champions League trip to Istanbul.

However, the Spain captain saw his return to first-team action end after just 14 minutes following a collision with his compatriot, which resulted in coach Carlo Ancelotti swapping him for Diego Lopez.

And Ramos took to Facebook on Wednesday to quipp that the shot-stopper was keen on revenge: "Someone wanted to kill me today. Luckily the injury is not serious and Iker will return soon."

Los Blancos will resume domestic duties on Sunday when they host Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu.
