The Liga champions have been remarkably quiet in the transfer market so far, but they are keen to add to their squad before the start of the new season
The Catalans have so far only secured the services of Neymar from Santos in a deal worth €57 million, but they are keen to add to their squad in the remainder of the summer transfer window.
Barcelona have been linked with a number of centre-backs in recent months, including Thiago Silva, Mats Hummels, Daniel Agger and David Luiz, but they have so far refused to comment on any potential transfer targets.
"We want to add one more player to our squad before the end of the transfer window," the Barca president was quoted as saying by Sport.
"However, it's important to acknowledge that you cannot always get the player you want as some clubs simply don't want to sell."
Barcelona confirmed on Thursday that they have extended Cristian Tello's contract while they also say Alexis Sanchez is not for sale.
