The injury-hit Sevilla midfielder has moved to calm fears that his latest setback could prematurely end his careerSevilla star Piotr Trochowski says he is confident of returning to full fitness next season despite going under the knife multiple times during a prolonged spell on the sidelines.
The 35-capped Germany international last played for los Rojiblancos in September 2012, before being hit by a series of leg injuries.
"In two weeks I will be travelling without crutches," the 29-year-old told Bild. "In June, I will begin to run. In July, I will begin sprinting again.
"I will come back. I am confident. The doctors are too... You have to adjust to the schedule, see how the knee responds to heavier workloads," he added.
The former Bayern Munich playmaker is under contract with Sevilla until summer 2015.
