Ronaldo: Real Madrid still have a lot to play for
The Portuguese remains determined to land two trophies this season after being handed the Marca Player of the Season award
Cristiano Ronaldo says Real Madrid still have plenty to play for this season, despite their hopes of retaining their Liga title appearing to be a distant dream.
After being handed the Marca Player of the Season award by Alfredo Di Stefano, the Portuguese highlighted the fact that los Blancos can still end the season with two trophies.
"Everything is going well and there is still a lot to play for," the 28-year-old told ligabbva.com.
"We have a cup final and the Champions League. The league is difficult but we have to keep going because everything is possible. Hopefully we can achieve all our goals."
Madrid legend, Di Stefano, said he "admired" Ronaldo and hailed him as a "great player" upon handing him the award.
Madrid face Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey final on May 17 and and take on Galatasaray in the Champions League quarter-finals.
