Longo happy to extend Espanyol stay
The on-loan Inter striker says he is prepared to spend another season in La Liga and admits it is a dream to play in the Premier League
Inter youngster Samuele Longo has said that he wold be happy to extend his loan spell with Espanyol for another season.
The 21-year-old joined the Liga side on a season-long deal last summer, and despite his parent side suffering something of a striker shortage, he is not averse to building up more experience at Cornella-El Prat.
“I'd be happy for another year here [at Espanyol],” he told reporters.
“We'll see what will happen, but I think for the moment only to play and continue to fight for a starting spot. I do not know about any Inter regrets, I only know that for the moment I am very happy here at Espanyol.”
Longo also revealed that he would love to ply his trade in the Premier League at some point in his career.
“Football is strange, but I have great confidence in my ability and I know that I should and for the future, I dream of playing in the Premier League.”
The Italy Under-21 international has scored three goals in 18 Liga outings for the Catalan outfit.
