I would like Ramos at Barcelona, says Pedro

I would like Ramos at Barcelona, says Pedro

The Spain international has voiced his admiration for the Real Madrid defender, and is eagerly anticipating the CL tie against Milan

Barcelona attacker Pedro has taken the time to praise Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos, and has admitted that he would like to see him at Camp Nou.

Ramos has become a key player at Madrid since joining the club from Sevilla in 2005, and Pedro feels his Spain team-mate could add something to the Blaugrana.

"Who I would sign for Barcelona? Sergio Ramos. He is very strong, fast, good on the ball, and he's one of the best centre-backs in the world for me," Pedro told reporters at a promotional event.

Pedro then looked ahead to their Champions League round of 16 match against AC Milan and stressed that the Catalans cannot afford to underestimate the Rossoneri.

The Serie A outfit have been struggling to find their best form this season after losing several key players at the start of the 2012-13 campaign, but Pedro believes they have the quality to make life difficult for the Blaugrana.

"The best teams of Europe play in the Champions League. The games are very different to the ones we play in La Liga, both Barca and Milan are big clubs and anything can happen.

"In these types of ties there are no favourites and we know that they will be a very complicated rival to beat. Hopefully we will progress to the next round."

The versatile attacker went on to say that Barcelona have set their sights on success in every competition they compete in.

"We have to take this one game at a time, the big matches are right around the corner and we want to compete in all three competitions.

"The team is strong, the players are united and that makes every training session easy and exciting. Despite the setbacks, I think the team hasn’t suffered, on the contrary, we’ve become stronger and that’s obvious on the pitch."

Barcelona take on Granada at the weekend, before travelling to San Siro on February 20.

Helmut arrived here by bicycle... He said: "It took me 10 days. I didn't see the sun once, it was raining, powerful winds, horrible, but I made it. I rode 554 miles to get here but... I don't have a ticket." Ouch! I feel for Helmut, he looks absolutely drained and I reckon he was relying on the gift of charity as his way in, but alas it is yet to find him.
