Alexis: Barcelona goal drought makes me nervous
The Chilean attacker has failed to score in La Liga this season, and he has conceded he is troubled by his lack of success in front of goal this term
Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez has admitted his current goal drought makes him feel "nervous".The 24-year-old has failed to find the back of the net in any of his 14 Liga matches this season, and has just three strikes to his name in 26 appearances this term.
The Chile international has conceded that he is troubled by his struggles in front of goal thus far this season, though he did point to his current tally of five assists as proof that he is contributing to the team.
"The fact that I can't score makes me nervous," he was quoted as saying by Marca.com. "At any rate, the hard thing is to create chances, and this is something I'm doing."
Despite his lack of success for Tito Vilanova's side this season, Alexis played a key role in Chile's 2-1 friendly win over Egypt on Wednesday, setting up Carmona for his winning goal.
