Martin Montoya has taken the time to praise Barcelona team-mate Dani Alves and is eager to learn from the Brazil international.
The young right-back is seen as the natural successor of the former Sevilla man, but he feels he still has room for improvement before he's ready to take over from Alves.
"He’s the best full back in the business, even though he’s not at 100 per cent right now. I've got to learn from him and I’d love to take over from him one day," Montoya was quoted as saying on the club's official website.
"Dani and I both love attacking football. We are okay as defenders too. We try not to let our opponents settle. Alves has so much talent, though, whereas I've still got to improve tactically.
"I’m really happy with the way things have been going so far this term. I was hoping to play, but I didn’t expect quite so many games."
The 21-year-old has made seven official appearances for Barcelona this term.
