Thiago: Strange that people doubt Barcelona

The young midfielder feels his side have made a perfect start to the season, and has stressed there's no reason to question their ability
Thiago has voiced his delight with the way Barcelona have begun their 2012-13 campaign, and feels there's no reason to doubt the Catalans claiming they have been superior both domestically and in Europe.

Barca have won their opening five league games, while also coming out victorious in their Champions League opener against Spartak Moscow, and the 21-year-old believes they were unrivalled in those games.

"It’s strange that people still have their doubts about the team," Thiago told the official club website.

"We're having a very, very good start. It couldn’t be better, between the Liga and Champions League we’ve won our last six games, and in each one of them we were the superior side.

"We’re getting into the rhythm of competitive play, the Liga has just started and all the teams are in the same spot we’re in.

"We’re on the same level, we simply want to improve so that we can be in a good position by the end of the season."

Barcelona currently sit atop of La Liga with 15 points from five games.
