The 29-year-old Ivory Coast international, who arrived at the Sanchez Pizjuan from Le Mans, is now bound for La Romareda after being granted an early release by Los RojiblancosSevilla have announced the cancellation of Romaric's contract by mutual consent, thus freeing the midfielder to join La Liga rivals Zaragoza on a free transfer.
The Ivory Coast international, who spent last season on loan at Espanyol, still had a year to run on his deal with the Andalusians.
However, the southerners revealed on their official website on Thursday afternoon that the 29-year-old had been released.
"Christian Koffi Ndri Romaric is totally disconnected from Sevilla FC following an agreement between the player and the club," a brief statement on the matter read.
"Now the Ivorian midfielder will play for Real Zaragoza, under the command of coach Manolo Jimenez, who had the player in his ranks during his time in charge of Sevilla."
Romaric arrived at the Sanchez Pizjuan from French outfit Le Mans in 2008 for a reported fee of around €8 million.
