Mourinho recalls Coentrao after smoking incident

The Portuguese defender was axed for the midweek meeting with Villarreal after being photographed puffing away on a cigarette outside a restaurant whilst celebrating his birthday
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has recalled Fabio Coentrao for Saturday's La Liga clash with Real Sociedad after axing the full-back from his squad for disciplinary reasons.

The Portugal international was photographed smoking a cigarette outside of a restaurant during his recent birthday celebrations and was promptly dropped for Wednesday night's meeting with Villarreal at El Madrigal.

Coentrao was moved to defend his professionalism on Friday and he has now been included in the 19-strong panel for the visit of Sociedad to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Out-of-favour centre-half Raul Albiol is also named in the squad, but Jose Maria Callejon and Angel Di Maria remain sidelined through injury.

After successive draws in La Liga, Madrid will be hoping to get back to winning ways against Sociedad, with the game in the Spanish capital scheduled to kick off at 20:00CET.
