Cristiano Ronaldo nets Real Madrid's 4000th La Liga goal at the Santiago Bernabeu in victory over Levante
The Portuguese attacker cements his legendary status at the club as he celebrates a major milestone in Madrid's history with another world-class display
By Luis Mira
The Portugal international made it 3-1 in the second half as his shot from 25 yards out nestled in the top right-hand corner of Gustavo Munua's net, as the capital giants completed a 4-2 victory.
Besides reaching such an important milestone in the history of the famous stadium, which opened in December 1947, Ronaldo's third goal also marked his 13th hat-trick in a Madrid shirt since his move from Manchester United in 2009.
Los Blancos' defeat of Levante means they move 10 points clear at the top of the Liga table following Barcelona's 3-2 defeat at Osasuna on Saturday.
