Barcelona set sights on AC Milan defender Thiago Silva - report
The Catalan giants are looking to strengthen their defence this summer, and have earmarked the Brazilian as the perfect signing and they believe a €30m bid may be enough
The powerful defender revealed last summer that he had held talks with the Catalans, but a transfer never materialised at the time.
Nevertheless, the Champions League holders have not given up hopes of signing the centre-back as they are looking to strengthen their back line, and have reportedly made Thiago Silva their primary target of the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old has a contract with Milan until June 2016, but Barcelona are hopeful that an offer in the region of €30 million will be enough to lure him away from San Siro.
Nevertheless, it appears unlikely at this point that the Rossoneri are willing to part company with their star defender for €30m as they are believed to have set an asking price close to €50m for Thiago Silva.
