Joe Hart has been demoted to the substitutes' bench for Manchester City's Premier League clash with Norwich City for the first time in 123 Premier League games.
Manuel Pellegrini has opted to give Costel Pantilimon another chance to impress in goal after a fine showing against Newcastle in the Capital One Cup.
Growing concerns over the England No.1's declining form over the past 12 months culminated with Hart rushing from his goal to allow Fernando Torres to score a last-gasp winner for Chelsea on Sunday.
On Monday, Goal revealed Pellegrini first considered dropping Hart following a poor showing against Bayern Munich and he will now sit out his first Premier League game for City since the start of the 2010-11 season - having spent the 2009-10 season on loan at Birmingham City.
Elsewhere, Pellegrini makes one other change, with Alvaro Negredo coming in for Javi Garcia, as injured Norwich duo Robert Snodgrass and Alexander Tettey are replaced by Steven Whittaker and Bradley Johnson.
