And despite new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho's insistence that both De Bruyne and fellow Belgian Romelu Lukaku have a future at the club, Dortmund remain determined to try and sign him.
“We respect his contract at Chelsea but we will keep trying him,” Zorc told Kicker.
Earlier this week Zorc revealed that De Bruyne reciprocated Dortmund's interest, while also playing down speculation linking the club with a move for Ajax's Christian Eriksen.
“The player [De Bruyne] wants to join us,” the 50-year-old told Ruhr Nachrichten.
De Bruyne joined Chelsea for €8 million in January 2012 and has yet to make a first team appearance for the club, but scored 10 goals in 33 league appearance on loan with Bremen.
