The former Gunners midfielder and current Lyon coach worked under the Frenchman for three seasons in north London and is certain that he will honour his current contract
Oympique Lyonnais coach Remi Garde is confident that Arsene Wenger has no intention of leaving Arsenal this summer.
The 63-year-old's future at the Emirates Stadium has been in doubt, with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly keen to recruit him in place of Carlo Ancelotti.
However, Garde, who won the double during a three-year stint with Arsenal in the late 1990s, believes his former manager will remain with the club this summer regardless of whether he extends his contract, which runs out in 2014.
"I think he has one year remaining on his contract with Arsenal, so there is every chance he will honour it," the 47-year-old told RMC Sport.
"I worked under him a few years ago. Maybe the experience did change some of his principles.
"I tend to think that he will continue with the Gunners."
Goal.com revealed on Tuesday that Wenger has no plans to join PSG or end his 17-year reign at the Gunners, and will sit down with club officials at the end of the current campaign to discuss an extension to his contract.
