Sir Alex Ferguson has named an attacking side for Manchester United’s visit to Premier League strugglers Stoke City, with forwards Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Chicharito all starting the game at the Britannia Stadium.
There are four changes in all from the side which was defeated 2-1 by rivals Manchester City last time out, with Ryan Giggs, Rafael, Ashley Young and Danny Welbeck all dropping out of the starting XI.
Antonio Valencia, Chicharito, Shinji Kagawa and captain Nemanja Vidic all come into the side.
Tony Pulis makes three changes to the Stoke side which was beaten 3-1 by Aston Villa last time out, with Matthew Etherington, Marc Wilson and Dean Whitehead all being axed.
Andy Wilkinson, Glenn Whelan and Charlie Adam all come into the side for the Potters as they look to halt their alarming recent run of form.
