The Blues midfielder's former team-mate has expressed his astonishment at the England international not being offered a new deal by the club, calling him "a machine"West Ham winger Joe Cole says it would be "unbelievable" if Frank Lampard was not offered a new deal at Chelsea as he believes that all the top clubs will be "queueing up" for his signature given the midfielder's current form.
Lampard's current contract expires in summer and Chelsea have yet to offer him a deal, despite his impressive performances this season - and is only three goals away from becoming the club's all-time leading scorer.
"To be honest with you, if Frank [Lampard]'s out of contract, the way he's playing, all the top clubs in Europe are going to be queuing up," he told Absolute Radio's Rock'N'Roll Football with Ian Wright.
"It's unbelievable if he doesn't get offered a deal really, because he's still one of the top midfielders in Europe.
"And I don't know how many goals he's scored this year, but he just doesn't stop. He's a machine."
