Lloris hails important win over Arsenal
The France international was happy to secure all three points for Tottenham in a game which could have a large bearing on each side's chances of Champions League qualification
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris sees Sunday's 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the north London derby as an important win that sets his side up to finish the season strongly.Spurs' win lifted them into third place in the Premier League and the Frenchman feels that they did well to triumph in an intense atmosphere.
"It was a great game with great intensity, I could feel that on the pitch," Lloris told the club's official website.
"It's an important win. I think we kept control during the game, maybe we had some difficulty the first 20 minutes but we didn't concede a lot of opportunities after the first and second goals.
"After the Arsenal goal we kept good intentions to the end of the game but we had a great lucidity and it was a great performance.
"We're all happy with the three points but the season is not finished; we have to continue in this form."
