QPR striker Remy 'hurt' by Marseille departure
The France international was the Hoops' record signing in January before being surpassed by Christopher Samba and has two goals in four appearances since arriving at Loftus Road
Loic Remy has spoken of his disappointment and "hurt" at leaving Marseille for the Premier League and relegation-threatened QPR in the January transfer window. The Frenchman became the club's record signing when he signed on at Loftus Road for a fee of around €9.2 million, although that would later be surpassed by Christopher Samba, and has already found the net twice for his new club, the last of which coming in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Southampton, only their third league win of the season.

"I didn't want to go as a failure," said Remy who, after scoring 37 goals in his first two seasons at the French club, was beset by injury problems this campaign, only scoring twice before departing.
"I wanted to finish the season there and then look elsewhere. I got a chill when I saw that the leaders had made their decision behind my back.
"When I heard that, I was a little disappointed. They have told me at the last moment, I was hurt."
Having looked set to sign for Newcastle only to choose the Premier League's bottom club, Remy has been accused of choosing the much larger financial package offered to him by Harry Redknapp and club owner Tony Fernandes.
However, though acknowledging that money had played a factor in the move, Remy insisted that his commitment was firmly with the club and their fight against relegation.
"It has surprised many people," he admitted.
"It's in London, with very good conditions. The wage level too, it was interesting. This may be a hindrance to my international career, but I do not see things like that. I will make every effort to maintain the club's status this season."
Remy's departure was one of several player sales made by the Marseille hierarchy in recent months, leading to a protest by a group of fans against sporting director Jose Anigo and president Vincent Labrune after the team's 2-1 Ligue 1 victory over Troyes.
