QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar suffers groin tear against Sunderland

QPR manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that goalkeeper Julio Cesar suffered a torn groin in their Premier League encounter with Sunderland.The 33 year-old was substituted at half-time during his team's goalless draw with the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light and was replaced by second-choice shot-stopper Robert Green.

"He did his groin. He tore a groin. He's a good pro, I've been impressed with him as a fella and can see why he's played at the very, very top," he told reporters.
"Rob Green made a great save when he came on, so we're lucky there we've got two great keepers."
The 0-0 draw against Martin O'Neill's side away from home was only the fifth point that the Hoops' have managed to pick up in their fourteen league games so far and they remain rooted to the bottom of the table, eight points from safety.
