Swansea deserved point from tight Chelsea game - Laudrup

The Dane's side drew 1-1 with the Champions League winners, having trailed for the majority of the second half until Pablo Hernandez equalised two minutes from time

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup is delighted to have come back from behind to grab a point against Chelsea and feels that the result was the right one.

Victor Moses opened the scoring for the visitors in the second half before Pablo Hernandez struck late to secure a 1-1 draw in a tight game where the hosts dominated possession for long periods.

"I think it was a deserved point," Laudrup told the club's official website. "Today, in many ways, was a copy of the game we played last week against Manchester City,

"There were very few chances in today's game. We had a couple of half-chances while Chelsea had the [Fernando] Torres header which Leon [Britton] cleared off the line. So, for me, the result was a deserved one."

Swansea's draw finished a busy week for the Welsh outfit, having travelled to Liverpool and Manchester City in the previous days.

The Swans' Capital One Cup clash at Anfield on Wednesday saw Laudrup's men emerge victorious, a 3-1 win taking them into the fourth round.

"We played the champions of Europe [Chelsea] and Liverpool at Anfield," the Dane continued. "I may be wrong but I've counted six chances against us in those games.

"To finish this important week for the club with three positive performances was pleasing.

"The spotlight has been on Swansea in the last week and maybe it will go away for the next few weeks but we have very important games coming up and we have to make sure we are at the top of our game."
