The 21-year-old winger has completed his temporary move to the Dutch outfit, where he joins two Blues' team-mates, after going out on loan for the last three seasonsChelsea's promising youngster Gael Kakuta has joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on loan.
The 21-year-old has been loaned out in the three previous seasons, to Premier League sides Fulham and Bolton before French outfit Dijon last season, where he netted four goals in 12 appearances.
The winger has three years left on his current Blues' deal, but has only made 16 first-team appearances since joining the west London club in 2007 from Lens as a youth player.
Therefore, he joins the Dutch team in a bid to gain some all-important match experience, with Stamford Bridge team-mates Tomas Kalas and Patrick van Aanholt also on-loan at Vitesse.
Kakuta has been capped for France at U-19 level, and was part of the side that won the 2010 European Championships, he has since featured for the U-20s and U-21s.
The Frenchman may not be the last player to make a temporary move away from the Champions League holders before the end of the transfer window, with forward Daniel Sturridge reported to be close to a loan deal that would take him to Liverpool and Michael Essien rumoured to be on his way to Arsenal for the season.
Elsewhere, the Blues managed to get the majority of their business done early, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Victor Moses and Cesar Azpilicueta all part of an £80 million summer spending spree by Roman Abramovich.
However, speculation linking Porto striker Hulk with Roberto Di Matteo's side has not gone away, with Chelsea a bit light up front after the recent departures of Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka, with Sturridge's future uncertain too.
