Rodgers pleased with new Liverpool playing style

The 39-year-old former Swansea City boss has been impressed with what he has seen from his new side so far in training and believes they have taken quickly to his specific ethos
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers remains satisfied with the work that his new side have got through so far during their pre-season preparations.Appointed in the summer to replace the outgoing Kenny Dalglish, Rodgers has talked about the need for the players to buy into his methods and ethos on the training ground if the club are to be successful, and he is happy that his new squad have taken this message on board.
"In terms of a lot of the pressing work we've done, they've showed up really well, and that's important in what we want to do," Rodgers told reporters.

"Their understanding and management of the game will improve as time goes on, but the most important thing for now is the physical condition and that's looking very good.
"The tactical work will really kick in when the whole group is together, but we've already seen a lot of improvement."
Liverpool kick off their pre-season tour of the United States against Toronto FC on July 21 before taking on both Roma and Tottenham.
