Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong hoping to be fit for the start of next season
The 20-year-old is happy that recent surgery went well and admits he is feeling optimistic despite a season-ending injury

Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has revealed he is hoping to recover from injury in time for the start of the next Premier League season after undergoing knee surgery.
The midfielder, who had been on-loan at Wolves, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the clash with QPR last weekend which has ruled him out for the remainder of this season.
The Ghanaian has now had an operation on his right knee and hopes he can once again return from a serious injury after experiencing the same damage to his left knee in 2010.
The 20-year-old told Footy-Ghana: "I had my surgery today [Wednesday] and I'm happy everything went well.
"I understand it is going to be a long lay off but I have proved I can come back from a big injury as I did the last time.
"I hope to get back playing for the start of next season."
Frimpong had been impressive in the short time he spent at Molineux, making five starts for Mick McCarthy's men after making 14 appearances for Arsenal before his loan move.
