Gary Neville Doesn't Expect His Manchester United Team-Mate Paul Scholes To Return For England

Manchester United defender Gary Neville doesn't think Paul Scholes will return to international duty for England.
Scholes turned down an approach from Fabio Capello ahead of the World Cup this summer, having initially retired from England duty following Euro 2004.
And with the midfielder having been in impressive form for United so far this season, reports were circulating that Capello would come calling once more.
But speaking to the Sunday Times of Malta, Neville believes that Scholes will resist any further attempts to bring him back:
"There has been some talk about Paul Scholes returning to the England fold, but I can't see it happening and that's not because I have any inside information, if he was going to go back I would have thought he would have gone back for the World Cup.
"His performances have been fantastic for Manchester United so I can understand why people are talking about it.
"He played very well for England for a long time, but he decided to retire and he's a man of his word so I don't see him going back on that decision."
While not expecting to see Scholes in an England shirt again, Neville stated that it was a sight he would welcome.
"On the other hand, he is good enough to still play for England and I'm sure all England fans, including myself, would welcome him back because he is one of the greatest players."
