Carlo Ancelotti Happy With Chelsea's Second Half Showing Against West Ham

Chelsea boss pleased with fightback after lacklustre first half

Premier League : Carlo Ancelotti (Chelsea)

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti had mixed emotions after his side claimed a point against West Ham at Upton Park to go four points clear at the top of the Premier League.

“In [the second] 45 minutes we came out and played well to get a draw,” Ancelotti told Sky Sports.

“The first half we played without intensity, were slow and didn’t move the ball in midfield. West Ham put lots of pressure on our midfield.”

With games coming up thick a fast over the festive period Ancelotti expressed concern about maintaining their form.

“Every team has problems in this period with a lot of matches in a few days,” he added.

“It’s not easy to maintain fitness and concentration playing every few days.”
