The Indian Super League franchise have secured the signature of the former French international, making him their marquee player.Indian Super League (ISL) franchise FC Pune City have signed former Juventus star David Trezeguet as reported by Goal earlier. The Frenchman was officially named the club's marquee player at the team launch in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Trezeguet won the World Cup and European Championship with France in 1998 and 2000 respectively. He also holds the distinction of being the third highest all-time goal scorer for his country.
The prolific striker began his career with Club Atlético Platense at the age of eight and has played for AS Monaco, Juventus and River Plate. In his 11 year stint with Italian heavyweights Juventus, he became one of their most coveted players, finishing his second season at the club with 24 goals, making him the league's top scorer that year.
The 36 year-old has scored more than 300 goals in his career and was the Serie A Footballer of the Year in the 2001-02 season. He has also been part of the FIFA 100 list of "greatest living footballers" compiled by Pele.

Trezeguet will turn out for FC Pune City in the inaugural edition of the ISL, set to commence in October.
