25-member India squad leave for Czech Republic

Four players from the Asian Games camp have been released before the team left for a 19-day exposure tour...
The Indian national team coach Wim Koevermans has handpicked 25 names out of the 29 players for the exposure tour to Czech Republic as part of the preparation for the forthcoming Incheon Asian Games.

The four players who have been released and haven't traveled to the European nation are Deepak Devrani, Shouvik Ghosh, Sanjay Balmuchu and Romeo Fernandes.

The team will be based in Pilsen and are scheduled to play against three different clubs, namely Senco Doubravka, FK Most and TJ Domazlice during their tour.

Upon their return from Czech Republic, India will play a two-match friendly series against the Pakistan U-23 team in Bengaluru on 17th and 20th August, 2014 respectively.

Thereon, the squad are slated for another exposure tour to China from 25th August, 2014 till 8th September, 2014 where they would face Shanghai FC and JiangSu.

The 25-member squad:

Goalkeepers: Amrinder Singh, Ravi Kumar, Kamaljit Singh.

Defenders: Pritam Kotal, Keenan Almeida, Joyner Lourenco, Shankar Sampingiraj, Sandesh Jhingan, Salam Singh, Narayan Das.

Midfielders: Pronoy Halder, Rowlin Borges, Clifton Dias, Alwyn George, Siam Hangal, Lalrindika Ralte, Dhanpal Ganesh, Milan Singh.

Forwards: Francis Fernandes (Senior Player), Seiminlen Doungel, Sunil Chhetri (Senior Player), Robin Singh (Senior Player), Haokip Thongkoshim, Alesh Sawant, Mandar Rao Desai.
