India have climbed up three spots from the 154th to the 151st position in the latest edition of FIFA rankings and are joint 26th in the continent, a couple of places above from the last month.
The Blue Tigers picked up a 2-2 draw in a friendly against Bangladesh (162) on 6th March. Wim Koevermans' side seemed to have benefited from playing friendlies on official FIFA dates as they climbed on the rankings ladder in the aftermath.
However since then, India haven’t been in action and shall next be seen only in October when they play two friendlies on home soil.
Amongst the SAFF Nations, Afghanistan are ranked highest at 129 while Pakistan are placed 165.
Japan are the highest Asian ranked nation in the 45th spot followed by Iran at 49.
