Rakesh Masih, the Mohammedan Sporting midfielder is the latest player to join the IMG-Reliance bandwagon, Goal can reveal.
The TATA Football Academy graduate had emerged as one of the most promising young players in his initial years. He was even nominated for the Best Young Player and Best Player Of The Year (Fans' Choice) categories in the inaugural edition of the Football Players Association of India (FPAI) Awards in 2009.
However, over the years his performance graph took a steep turn for the worse, ending up in his inclusion in the Goal’s worst XI of the 2013-14 season.
However, the former Salgaocar player will be hoping to revive his career after joining the high profile Indian Super League (ISL), scheduled to start in September this year.
On the other hand, Jagroop Singh, who played for Eagles FC in the Federation Cup on loan from IMG-Reliance, has extended his deal for another year.
Both signings were completed last weekend along with a number of other players.
