The German giants Bayern Munich will host the seven-a-side tournament, with a lot of festivities planned for the participants afterwards

In a matter of pride for the Shillong Lajong FC academy, two of their youths - N.Sana Singh and Wungyam Muirang - have been selected to represent India at the Under 17 FC Bayern Youth Cup to be held in Munich, Germany scheduled for the 21st of May, 2014.

10 youngsters from the Shillong based I-League club’s academy had participated in the national leg of a 7-a-side football tournament organized by Adidas in New Delhi on the 8th and 9th of February 2014. Of all the participants, it was later revealed that Singh and Muirang had been selected to participate under the national flag at the FC Bayern Youth Cup, 2014.

The lads will have departed for Germany on the 18th of May, joining their compatriots for the tournament. A total of eight teams from America, Asia and Europe are expected to partake in the tourney organized by none other than Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich.

The boys will be allowed to use the facilities of the Champions, allowing them to train under the tutelage of Bayern Munich coaching staff on the 19th and 20th of May. The seven-a-side tournament is expected to be held on the 21st of May, followed by a day of sight-seeing as organized by Bayern, scheduled for the 22nd. The participants will then depart for their respective countries on the 23rd.

The boys will also be allowed to meet and greet the U23 team of the German Champions alongside visiting the famous Allianz Arena, just before they depart, on May 23rd.
