Koevermans makes ten changes to the national squad

The Dutch coach has made 10 changes to the national squad, notably excluding players contracted with IMG-Reliance.
Indian national team coach Wim Koevermans has announced his squad of 21 players for two international friendlies which are scheduled to take place this month. India will face Philippines on November 15 before playing Nepal on Novermber 19.

The squad includes 10 changes from the one that participated in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship earlier this year in which India were the runners-up.

The squad list doesn't include any of the players who have been contracted with IMG-Reliance. Even players who were contracted with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) for the Arrows project have been snubbed, except for Narayan Das.

Meanwhile, East Bengal are the most represented I-League club in the squad with four players called up.

The players who have been dropped are Nirmal Chettri, Subrata Paul, Syed Nabi, Gouramangi Singh, Sandesh Jhingan (IMG-Reliance),  Jewel Raja, Alwyn George and Jeje Lalepkhlua (Dempo SC), Nallapan Mohanraj (Mumbai Tigers) and Sandip Nandy (Mohun Bagan).

The squad is as follows:

GOALKEEPERS: Karanjit Singh (Salgaocar FC), Subhashish Roychowdhury (Dempo SC), Arindam Bhattacharya (Churchill Brothers).

DEFENDERS: Denzil Franco (Churchill Brothers), Nicolau Colaco (Salgaocar FC), Arnab Mondal (East Bengal), Aibhorlang Khongjee (Mohun Bagan), Raju Gaikwad (East Bengal), Gurjinder Kumar (Pune FC), Narayan Das (Dempo SC).

MIDFIELDERS: Mehtab Hossain (East Bengal), Lenny Rodrigues (Churchill Brothers), Lalrindika Ralte (East Bengal), Arata Izumi (Pune FC), Francis Fernandes (Salgaocar FC), Clifford Miranda (Dempo SC), CK Vineeth (United SC, Victorino (Sporting Clube de Goa).

FORWARDS: Dawson Fernandes (Sporting Clube de Goa), Sunil Chhetri, Robin Singh (Bengaluru FC).

STANDBYES: Shilton Paul, Rowilson Rodrigues, Gurwinder Singh, Shouvik Ghosh, Rocus Lamare, Malswamtulunga, Tsewang Karma, Jeje Lalpekhlua, Denson Devdas.
