Sporting Clube de Goa coach Oscar Bruzon Barreras feels that his side has earned a "big result" after beating Pune FC 2-0 in the eighth round of the I-League on Saturday as they came back to winning ways following the 1-3 loss to Mohammedan Sporting.

"This is a big result for us," he exerted. "I was saying that Pune [FC] and East Bengal are the more professional teams in India. They (Pune FC) had four victories in their last five games and they only had one goal against. Today they suffered their first loss and they received more goals than in all their previous matches. So the work of my players today was excellent."

The Spaniard believes that the Flaming Oranje have given a demonstration of how they can beat any other team in India football's top tier.

"I told my players in the half-time, when it was 0-0 that we really deserved to get the first goal in the first half. I cannot do anything [about it], but we kept the intensity for the 90 minutes. Playing like this in 90 minutes, we can beat anybody in India and here you have a demonstration," he stated.

Speaking about his team's performance, Bruzon claimed that Sporting did a perfect job by playing counter-attacking football against Pune FC despite a slow start in the initial minutes.

"In the first 15-to-20 minutes we had a lack of concentration. That was when we were having some problems. Every time we are winning, I'm very happy because we really know what to do. Today our game model was to stop their game and to play on counter attack. For that we are a perfect team and the guys did a perfect job."

Sporting missed at least three clear cut chances that fell to Ogba Kalu Nnanna, Victorino Fernandes and Arturo Navarro Garcia in the first half that should have been put to bed.

"We could have scored more goals, but again, that costs a lot of money. Those players (who can score many goals) cost a lot of money. We are a mid-budget team. We don't have the power, but we have the work rate from the eleven players.

"The guys are confident that, playing our game model, nobody can beat us," Bruzon signed off on a confident note as Sporting Clube de Goa face East Bengal on Tuesday.
