Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish will soon be seen coaching one of the eight franchise teams in the Indian Super League (ISL).

'King Kenny' as he is affectionately referred to by the Liverprool fans, will be amongst the eight managers roped in by the organisers - IMG-Reliance, the commercial and marketing partners of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

IMG-Reliance and Star India had announced the launch of ISL which shall kick-off in January next year.
 
The new league will feature eight city specific teams and will tap the burgeoning interest among the country's young population that's increasingly seen taking interest in football globally.

IMG-Reliance have also announced the appointment of Mr. Ko-Ichiro Kato, former Head of Competitions, Brazil Office, FIFA 2014 World Cup and FIFA Head of Club World Cups (2005-2010), as Consultant, Tournament Operations for ISL.  Greg Gillin, a Wembley Stadium expert and Senior Director, National Stadium Singapore Sports Hub, as the Pitch Consultant.
