Santosh Kashyap made two changes with Abocha Singh and Sandesh Gadkari replacing Nagen Tamang and Joy Kharraswai in the first eleven, while the away side saw the return of Denzil Franco and Hugo Machado in the eleven alongside Richard Costa.
Rangdajied were dominant in the early exchanges as skipper Eugeneson Lyngdoh forced Churchill goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya into a save from a set-piece. David Ngaihte and Restomwell Khriam were the guilty parties on numerous occasions as they floundered in front of goal.
The visitors first chance came in the 19th minute when Rangdajied keeper Surjay Pariyar was called into action to force a save from a Hugo Machado attempt.
Lyngdoh eventually provided the break-through for the home side after he blasted his shot to find the back of the net in the 25th minute. The joy was however short-lived as Churchill scored the equaliser through Balwant Singh who provided the finishing touch from a Machado free-kick in the 27th minute.
Crossing over, Ngaihte maintained the momentum for his side and dribbled past three red shirts before seeing his effort from 25 yards out sail wide.
Luck didn't favour Mariano Dias' men either as Machado's free-kick went over the Rangdajied wall but came off the post in the 55th minute.
The upright once again came into play as in the 89th minute Ngaihte's shot deflected off the post which also denied Kashyap his first win with Rangdajied United, while Churchill Brothers had to be content with a point.
