Mohammedan Sporting agree terms with Penn Orji

The former JCT midfielder chose to join 'The Black and Whites' for the 2013-14 season...

Penn Orji has followed in the footsteps of Tolgay Ozbey by agreeing a deal to join Mohammedan Sporting in the upcoming season.

The East Bengal midfielder, known for his passing and an ability to provide through-balls, will continue to ply his trade in Kolkata but for the promoted side.

Earlier Mohammedan had agreed terms with Luciano Sobrosa, Josimar da Silva Martins and Tolgay Ozbey. With the addition of Penn, Mohammedan have a strong foreign contingent which could give some of the big clubs in the league a run for their money.

"Yes, we have signed Penn Orji as our fourth foreigner. We will disclose the details of the deal later,” Mohd Kamaruddin, a senior official of the Kolkata club, told Goal.

Penn was one of the important players under Trevor Morgan for East Bengal for the last three years. However in the last campaign after having had a brilliant start, his performances weren't the best as clubs found a way to shut his influence and thereby negate East Bengal's attacks.
