Mohammad Shahid Jabbar’s side brushed aside the Nepalese challenge to defend their title successfully…

Tournament favourites and defending champions India put on a spectacular show on Sunday as they beat Nepal 3-1 in the finals of the second SAFF Women’s Championships.

However the going wasn’t easy as they conceded as early as in the third minute with Dipa Adhikari doing the needful from an Anu Lama pass.

The lead lasted just for five minutes as Supriya Rout Ray restored parity.

After the change of ends, Bem Bem Devi scored from a free-kick to beat the Nepali goalkeeper Namita Dali.

Kamala Devi scored her seventh goal of the tournament in the 87th minute and thus ended up as the top scorer.
