Pinky Bombal scored a hat-trick as India went on to thrash Bhutan 11-0 in their final group game in the Women’s SAFF Championship on Tuesday.
The floodgates opened in the 14th minute when Tuli Goon scored which was followed by Yumnam Kamala Devi doubling the lead eleven minutes later.
Two goals in as many minutes, when Sasmita Mallick scoring from the spot while Ashem Romi Devi adding another, made it 4-0 in the opening half hour.
Pinky Bombal scored her first of the game before the end of the first half with Parmeshwari Devi adding her name on the scoresheet as well.
It took just four minutes after the break for Bombal to score her second and sixteen minutes later, she completed her hat-trick.
Parmeshwari Devi, Montesori Chanu, Supriya Routray scored goal each in the second half to complete the 11-0 rout.
India have made it into the semi-finals, which they shall play on the Friday, with a 100% record with Pinky Bombal top scoring with four goals in three matches.
